铸铁闸门是用来封闭和开启水利工程过水孔口的活动构造。闸门的作用是按需求全部或部分的封闭和开启过水孔口，以调理上、下游水位，泄放流量。普遍用于农田灌溉、水产养殖、农业经济开发区、污水处置、水利发电站、水库、河流（水闸、堤坝、涵洞、管道）、是防洪、抗旱、蓄水、发电、通航、过木及扫除泥沙、冰块和其它漂浮物等进水、退水工程的公用设备、山区、平原有、无电地域均可运用。
构造
铸铁闸门，由闸板、闸框、吊座、压板、紧闭压板、地脚螺栓、规范件等部件组成。
任务原理
   铸铁闸门，在启闭机升降的作用下，使闸板在闸框滑道内上、下滑动，能局部或全部的开启和封闭过水孔口。在水柱的压力下，强迫闸门向下游位移，紧靠在闸框止水面上，保证止水效果良好，到达调理流量和控制水位的目的。

运用颐养
    灌溉铸铁闸门在开启和封闭过水孔口时应留意闸板的上、下极限地位，以免损坏闸门或启闭机。闸门在启闭进程中，如有异常状况，应立刻中止运用，并及时反省处置，扫除毛病后，才干持续运用。
闸门封闭时，在离闸底坎10厘米处，应将闸门暂停2分钟，应用闸门底坎激流冲净底门槽内的砂石、杂物，然后再将闸门封闭。

In the process of opening and closing the gate, if there are abnormal conditions, it should be stopped immediately, and promptly reflect on the disposal, after cleaning up the defects, the ability to continue to use. When the gate is closed, the gate should be suspended for 2 minutes at 10 cm away from the bottom sill. The sand and debris in the bottom sill groove should be washed out by the sudden flow of the bottom sill, and then the gate should be closed. In order to extend the service life of the gate, after a period of time, the low-water season should be applied to stop the anti-corrosion treatment. The anti-corrosion material should be applied on the surface every six months and the oil on the running-in surface should be applied every quarter.
